Real-time crowd intel.

THE CLIENT: Shop or Not is a mobile app concept designed to help shoppers decide when to visit busy stores by providing real-time information about crowds, wait times, parking availability and overall store activity.

THE ASK: Create a simple, intuitive mobile experience that helps users make more informed decisions before leaving home, taking some of the guesswork and frustration out of everyday shopping trips.

THE INSIGHT: People don’t necessarily mind shopping. They mind wasting time. Giving users a clearer picture of current store conditions allows them to plan around crowds instead of discovering them after they arrive.

THE CHALLENGE: A quick trip to the store can easily become a frustrating experience when shoppers encounter crowded aisles, long checkout lines, or packed parking lots. Existing tools may show general popular times, but they don’t always give users the immediate information they need to decide whether to shop now or wait.

Shopping shouldn’t start with a parking lot surprise.

THE PROBLEM: People often decide where and when to shop without knowing how crowded a store may be. Shop or Not was conceived as a mobile experience that helps users make a more informed decision before leaving home, reducing frustration around crowds, parking, and wait times.

USER PERSONA: Meet Sophia

Know before you go.
